Day 6 With an early start we travel North to Hluhluwe and check in at DumaZulu village taking visitors deeper into the culture and ecology of Africa with a special emphasis on how the Zulu Culture has remained true to itself in a fast changing world. Afternoon at leisure.
Day 7 At dawn we enter the Hluhluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve with its 84 different mammal species and 425 variety of bird species. This is home to the "Big 5" as well as cheetah, giraffe, zebra, blue wildebeest, spotted hyena and wild dog. Enjoy lunch at the Hilltop camp with unsurpassed views of the reserve. Overnight DumaZulu. Day 8 Leave DumaZulu after breakfast for the St Lucia Estuary with a boat cruise down the estuary to spot the hippo, and crocodiles basking on the banks. The cry of the fish eagle will make you realize you are in the heart of South Africa. After lunch we head back to Durban airport for a 2 hours flight to Cape Town. Overnight Protea hotel in Cape Town. Day 9 An optional morning trip to the famous Cape Victoria & Alfred Waterfront well known for shops, restaurants, bars and local music. Day 10 In the morning take a visit to the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens then weather permitting travel by cable car up Table Mountain and take in the spectacular views of the Cape and the harbour.
Day 11 Discover the Vineyards and tour the Stellenbosch/Franschoek wine farms. Sip some of South Africa's, and the worlds, best wine produce and enjoy the local cuisine. This scenic tour takes you through grand mountain ranges and fertile valleys. Day 12 After breakfast prepare to leave sunny South Africa and take with you the unique aspects, experiences and essence of this beautiful land.
