DHM is very hands on with the management of events and liaising between our Client, Conference centers and Airports Company, this allows for our clients to concentrate on their event as we take full responsibility for all ground movements.
If we take on an event we do not commit to another event over that period. We dedicate ourselves and our staff solely to your event to ensure that we personally manage and co-ordinate the necessary transfers from the beginning of the conference when delegates fly in, to the end when the delegates leave. From the outset till completion we are onsite at the airport and daily at the conference venue.

With most of our conferences we have no flight arrival details so the airport desks are manned by DHM Tours from first to last flight daily, the conference organisers we have dealt with have been very happy with this service and to date we have not had one delegate missing a flight out, including the 10 000 delegates we transported for the AIDS conference. On arrival we take the return details of the delegates and then organise shuttles back to the airport from all hotels. We display schedules in the hotel foyers for the delegates to see and usually have a transport/tour desk at the ICC, or conference venue, for the duration of the conference to answer questions on the transport. We sell the concept that should a Client confirm with us they do not have to worry once about the transport from the time the delegate arrives till they leave. With experience we have perfected the service and foreign delegates are always pleased to be met at the airport and to know they are taken care of from thereon out. We also provide them with a shuttle sheet that tells them what the shuttle times are and how things are organised.
DHM Tours was the official transport provider of the International Aids Conference held in Durban and our bus charter division had vehicles running for inbound Pharmaceutical groups wanting private transfers.
We do Airport Transfers, Bus Charter and Tours for groups travelling to South Africa.
DHM Tours has a wide range of different vehicles avaliable for hire dependent on the group size and touring requirements. For overland tours of Gauteng, Kruger, Kwa Zulu Natal, the Garden Route and Cape Town we have the luxury airconditioned Coaches and Sprinters with reclining seats for long distance travelling comfort. These vehicle are equipped with fridges, tv and radio tape. All vehicles have the required passenger permits and public liability cover as set out by SATOUR guidelines. The Semi Luxury 60/65 seater coaches have non reclining cloth seats, TV/radio/tape/pa, aircon, fridge but no toilet. The sprinters seat 18 to 20 people. All vehicles are available for airport transfers, overland tours, sporting fixtures and diner transfers.
We provide a personalised service by meeting overseas or conference delegations at the airport ourselves. No matter the size of the group, we pride ourselves on delivering a timeous professional service at all times.
DHM Tours operates a 24 hour Airport Shuttle service for tour and sports groups, business delegations and conferencing groups. We do a personalised welcoming meet and greet. This shuttle service is available from the airport to hotels and surrounding areas.
We have available 9 –
Welcome desks would be provided inside the arrivals baggage area to meet and greet delegates. Upon arrival delegates would be escorted to the vehicles waiting to transport them to their various hotels.
For Airport shuttles we manage arrivals and departures formulating transport schedules and securing ACSA permits for staff and vehicles. Transportation schedules are displayed in the official hotel foyers for delegate information. We also communicate with hotel management with regards to parking and collection procedures and all vehicles are branded with the relevant identification.
Our Conferencing division concentrates on airport, day conferencing and evening banquet transfers. On the airport shuttle side we provide a welcome desk inside arrivals baggage area to greet delegates and have vehicles waiting to transport them to their various hotels. The longest a delegate waits is 15 minutes.
Conference organisers usually include the return transfer rate in the registration so the delegates do not have to pay us direct but we do also have Visa/American Express/Diners facilities should there be a need for delegates to pay for something. We provide bilingual staff should a majority of the delegates be Spanish/German/French speaking.
All shuttles from Airport to hotels, for event day and for returns to airport, are managed by staff at the airport/hotels and venue. The management of the transportation is paramount to ensuring a smooth, professional operation.
Contact cellular numbers are displayed on transportation schedules and we ensure that all official hotels and their porter desks would have the contact details of the transport management. These numbers would be available 24 hours. All operations personnel would be in possession of cellular communication including all coach/vehicle drivers.
