Day 1: Arrive Cape Town book into Protea Hotel. Tour with a ferry ride for a scenic trip to Robben Island. Once on Robben Island itself, the tour is guided by a former political prisoner of the island, for unique and incomparable insights into the island’s history. Returning to an afternoon in the Victoria Alfred Waterfront well known for shops, restaurants, bars and local music.

Day 2: Discover the Vineyards and tour the Stellenbosch/Franschoek wine farm area. Sip some of South Africa’s, and the worlds, best wine produce and enjoy the local cuisine. This scenic tour takes you through grand mountain ranges and fertile valleys.

Day 3: Cape Town city tour and visit to the famous Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens then weather permitting travel by cable car up Table Mountain and take in the spectacular views of the Cape and the harbour. Enjoy lunch on Table Mountain before returning to the hotel via Sea Point.

Day 4: Coach departs hotel after breakfast travelling the scenic Sir Lowry’s Pass with views of the Cape Peninsula. Continue on to George (named after King George 111) and the spectacular Garden Route, via Swellendam. Overnight Protea Hotel.

Day 5: Take to the Cango Caves and visit one of the wonders of the world at the foothills of the Swartenberg mountains. Ride an Oudshoorn Ostrich and visit the Cheetah Conservation Foundation with the opportunity to touch this elusive animal completing a day of colour and excitement. Overnight George Protea Hotel.

Day 6: Check out and catch the Outeniqua Choo Tjoe from George to Knysna with spectacular views of the salt water lakes, beautiful white beaches and dunes from bygone years. Book into Protea Knysna Keys overlooking the waterfront and yacht mall. Overnight.

Day 7: Morning at leisure to go shopping, charter a sail boat and explore the Knysna Lagoon protected by sandstone cliffs known as the “Heads”. Take a trip into the Knysna forest to see the Knysna elephants. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight Keys.

Day 8: Depart Knysna and travel through the dense Tsitsikamma Forest to Port Elizabeth where we bid you farewell and hope that you take with you the South African experience of a lifetime.
